I live in the United States , but I am also a dual citizen of Sweden and I was in Istanbul last summer for a vacation and I decided to go renew my passport there because I have a very old passport from when I was a baby and it has no photo in it and I was not able to renew my passport with them because I was a minor since I was only 17 I had only one parent with me and they need both, but they were really helpful as they told me to wait until I turned 18 and renew it then because I did not know what their policy was for renewing a minor passport and it was not so urgent to renew my passport because I have an American Passport, but I want to still be a dual citizen with because just in case if America cancelled my passport or revoked my nationality I would still have a second nationality with and still be able to travel.
