Just an amazing and Awesome experience! One of must see places of Istanbul! The huge 360 panoramic view of the battle that gives the feeling of travelling back in time to 1453 to see the battle of Istanbul conquering by Sultan Muhammed Al-Fatih. Wonderful sounds and display of battle. The art work is fabulous and they used the actual cannons and weapons that used in the battle! It is recommended to read the posters before entering the dome to fully understand the whole story. Highly recommended!

Very impressive 360 panorama in the dome of the museum. It represents the battle for Constantinople in 1453 and it is full of details painted for several years. Apart from it, the rest of the museum contains only wall boards from their history. Most of them are not translated in English and their audio guides are not provided with headphones. Yes, you can get the audio guide, but you need to bring your headset with the old 3.5mm connector. I didn't know that so I wasn't able to understand most of the content. And one more thing... They say this is the only museum with panoramic dome in the World, but actually the War Museum in North Korea has the very similar thing with the rotating platform. Anyway, if you have your own headphones, or understand Turkish you definitely need to visit this place.

It's a wonderful museum showing the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed troops conquering the city of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire in the year 29 May 1453. The museum is constructed in 360 \panorama\ view. There are wall painting of the battlefield and we can feel the real scenario the we are standing in the middle of the battle field. It's good place for students one day picnic, families and friends to know the history.

Doesn't take the museum card. It's not really near anything so you might need to Uber there. Total tour is about an hour. Read the wikipedia page on the seige of Constantinople beforehand as the English signage isn't great. The panorama room is pretty cool though.

It shows a historical event in a nice panoramic view. It would have been a lot better if it is show not a single picture.

It is a nice place to visit, but it would be wonderful if you can understand what you see in English or Arabic. The museum’s reception offer you an audio rental device to translate what you observe in the museum. However, with no headphones! As the device requires to work. also you can not buy headphones from a near place. So i was just checking pictures as children with no understanding what went in that era.
