Mosque and madrassah next to one another, lovely place to visit in the old town. A lot of history associated with it, the local guide said the minaret mosque is over 600 years old and still using the original building blocks. Which was amazing to see, the mosque is still active and also available for tourists to go in, the madrassah is now a littlearket full of little shops. A must if you are exploring old town.

Beautiful and very nice mosque ma SHA Allah. Will visit next time too. It's near to the town so when you visit old town you can visit that place too. You can do both places in one day. This whole are was clean and wonderful. People were nice and friendly.

It is one of the most important places in old town, Yivli Minaret is famous for it is unusual form and was build in 1219-38 during Seljuk era. The Mosque was constructed in 1372-73 and is one of the oldest multi-domed mosques in Anatolia. There are other places just next to them which are interesting to see while you are in Old town. Минарет Ивли и соседняя Мечеть одни из самых ярких памятников архитектуры периода Сельджуков, обязательно посмотрите их во время прогулки по старому городу.

The Anatolian Seljuk Sultan, Kayqubad I (1188-1237) ordered this mosque, which was destroyed in the 14th century and reconstructed in the 1370s on the foundations of a Byzantine church. An abiding part of the Kaleiçi cityscape is the 38-metre minaret, called the “fluted minaret” for the eight long grooves in its red brick shaft. In the mosque’s heyday these flutes were clad with blue glazed tiles. The Yivliminare Mosque is a functioning place of worship, paced on the tentative list of Turkish UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2016. For non-Muslims it’s a beautiful waymarker appearing from time to time between the houses as you plot a course through Kaleiçi’s alleys.

Yivli Minare Mosque, Kaleiçi, Antalya, Turkey : The mosque, which is a 13th-century Seljuk Turkish Architectural Work, is interesting with its groove-shaped minaret. The work in the Unesco World Heritage Tentative List is one of the symbolic works of Antalya, which was built during the reign of the Seljuk Sultan 1. Keykubat.
