Great place for a weekend picnic with family while watching horse racing. Food and beverages are served but you're allowed to bring your own. You don't have to gamble but it's available for people who enjoy its thrills. Horses are elegant and graceful animals, and here you get the chance to see a select lot of them.

Situated just meters away from the Marmara sea, the lively race track Veliefendi combines the sophisticated word of Turkish Jockey Club and the recreation area for the locals.
This is one the oldest horse racing tracks in the country. I do not bet, i was there to appear in a hollywood movie as an actor(Charlie's Angels) and i also enjoyed watching some great horses racing there since i'm also a horseback rider. The donwside is that the entire place needs a huge renovation because all the buildings within the complex look very old. There is a medium size car park.
