The theatre is breathtaking... mainly due to its mount top location. The fact that there aren’t many visitors and the place is a bit remote, brings some feel of time stall and peace. As for the rest of the buildings, they have mostly collapsed and unless you have some background in architecture or archeology, you may find it hard to appreciate. Some say the walk up is strenuous... I’d say if you don’t have mobility issue, you’ll be fine! Yes, you have to walk over ruins sometimes but that’s to be expected. It is somewhere in between a walk in the park and hiking. Shoes (as opposed to flip-flops) will help but proper trekking shoes are not essential. It’s a 9km walk from the ticket office to the ruins. Thought those were more strenuous and certainly more tedious - if you could arrange a transport for those, you may want to do. For me personally, it was worth it even for the theatre itself. I could spend a good amount of time when I was the only person there and it was a special moment of silence and reflection.

Prepare for uphill hiking and totally unrestored structures but man is that theater at the top amazing. No joke you'll be parkouring across fallen stones all over the place but it's so worth it to just sit in the theater looking at the mountains in the background. Yeah, you've been to amphitheatres but this one's definitely got the best view behind it.

So worth the drive and it was only 10 TL to get in. The road is a little narrow but good. The theater is the crown jewel but don't miss the cisterns as well. The other great part is very few people go here.

Amazing place. Worth hiking, worth exploring. Take your time to explore every corner before the theater. I'd say that you need at least 4 hrs to have a good look. Quick look (depends also on how good you hike and how many photos you take ) is appr. 2 hrs Bit just go there, it's gorgeous

Very beautiful place. We were there with children when it was 37. But everyone climbed to the top and was quite happy of seeing such beauty place. Recommend to visit!

A must see... it's a good hike up to the ruins. Must have good hiking shoes as the terrain is rough and slippery in some places. Be sure to take a bottle or two of water. The view from above is spectacular.

Amazing place, definitely worth the hike. 1km up hill can be a challenge for the elderly but easy for younger people. The theatre is amazing, probably the best view any theater has in Turkey. The city and there ruins are also interesting to see.
