Not sure how this hotel is classified as 5 star, everything is outdated and needs an urgent revamp. The rooms were tiny and bathroom old with very poor lighting. I booked 3 nights here based on the pictures they had advertised, but these must have been taken when they first opened the place. The thermal center was rotting away, with the towels offered so old and smelled. The food offered was below Turkish standards and the hot food always lukewarm however the most annoying thing was they would turn off the lights in the restaurant once food service had stop. Drinks are not included in the price and is very expensive (10 for a small coke). When I was there the lift to the restaurant was not working, which made it very difficult for people in wheelchair and those with pushchairs. Furthermore staff never smiled and not very helpful. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends or family, the one positive thing that must be noted is the WIFI was excellent even around the swimming pool.

Bed is good, but there is no water, coffee or tea in the room. (Things to improve). The air-conditioning is always hot air, unable to change temperature. Thermal pool looks interesting.
One of the most impressive hotel i lived in Turkey. In thin place i can do many things such as seeing Turkish dance, staying in thermal valley or going to turkish bath. Also new room and clean food. So i would recommend this hotel even the distance walking to the room is a bit far.
Nice staff and room. However, no tea or coffee facilities in the room and food was just ok. Thermal pool was worth a visit.
Large hotel complex. Despite it's 5 star rating it is more appropriately a 3-4 star hotel. Recently refurbished with bright airy budget furnishings. Very tour group focused. Expect large noisy crowds at the dining hall. Rooms are well sized. WiFi can be spotty in the rooms but going to the room toilet usually improves the connection. WiFi speeds were good. For the price it is a decent hotel, however do not come expecting a quiet cosy atmosphere. Rooms strangely have no water bottles nor even a kettle. Amenities are limited to shampoo, a bar of soap and shower cap. The thermal bath is suitably warm but plenty of fully clothed gawkers walk in and out, some even snapping photographs. Some guests even attempt to swim in the thermal bath. This detracts from the experience. Plenty of build of calcium deposits along the lining of the thermal bath giving a good impression of the authenticity of the thermal bath waters. The thermal baths are open until 1030pm.
The rooms is very small and there no slippers provided in the room. Since the hotel is famous with the hot spring bath and sauna, then the bathrobe should be provided in each room. Overall there is a bad experience that i have with this hotel. The most important is the cleanest is not meet to the stars given. I provided 2 photos that i firstly request to change the bed due to the underneath sliding. Then it has been changed and with the wet shoes steps on top of the bedsheets. That' is totally insane.
Their WiFi is the best I have ever used at Turkey, but too long to wait for staff permitted
Richmond Pamukkale Thermal Resort was a very complete option to stay at in Pamukkale. Located outside of the town, there wasn't really anything to go to around the hotel that didn't require a cab ride, but the experience at the hotel was enough for at least one night. The best feature of this hotel is the thermal pool. I wish the outdoor one was cleaner, but the indoor one was more than adequate. Big enough and hot (40C/104F). Off to the side there is like a fake cave with cold water buckets that you pull a cord to activate. Also, there is a Turkish bath in the pool area, which was cool to experience. After staying at many hotels in Turkey, this was the first one that didn't force you to have the heater on which meant more comfortable sleeping temperatures for international travelers (not the typical 80F you get at most places). The rooms were pretty complete except they lacked: bottled water, coffee and robes or some toiletries. The buffet dinner was one of the better ones in Turkey so far. There were many options, and the food seemed fresher here than at other places. Breakfast was pretty blah though. All in all, this is a solid option if you are in Pamukkale but don't want to be in the town itself. Which sounds dumb as I type it, but I guess it's something that people look for.
