It was established with the desire to impart the viticulture kept alive in Kemlapasa, Izmir by three generations of the Ozcan family to future generations and the world. The name Nif , which means '​ wood / water nymph '​ , is derived from the Kemalpasa region's name during the middle ages, Nypmphaion . The vineyard's surroundings are encircled by the natural wonders of Boz, Cal and Nif Mountains. Nif Vineyards sit atop curved hills, rich with minerals and consisting of alluvial deposits carried from Boz and Cal Mountains in a process that takes millions of years. The unmatched terrior is a true stamp of quality to the Aegean people who have sought out this terruar for winemaking and viitculture throughout history.
