It's a kind of magic - to watch those lights from under the ground even if you know it's just a special gas that inflames in the air ️ You feel the touch of deep and legendary history: Chimera, Pegasus, the Olymp mount, the first Olympic Games, things you heard only in the ancient myths ️ Also it's very convenient to get there: first to use a dolmush (regular bus) from Kemer or Antalya to the Chirali highway exit, and then take the local dolmush to the Chimera mount (only 1km walk).

The place is fabulous. But the crowds of tourists don’t help to feel its mythical atmosphere. Would be great if you could plan your visiting time keeping that in mind. The trail to the flames is not difficult but fairly steep. Though l met some girls wearing high-heeled shoes on their way up, and you are not that trained, tracking or running footwear would be a better choice. You can move on upward and encounter lonely flames flickering on top. And to breathe the beauty of the view all around you. If you stay late taking a flashlight would be a good idea.
incredible place! it's better to go at dusk, because the effect of a burning flame in the dark is much better. climbing took about 10 minutes, but it was hard because of the stuffiness. however it was worth it. be sure to take the time to gaze at the stars !! due to the distance from large settlements, the sky is incredibly beautiful and all the stars and even the milky way are visible. be careful on the way down: some stones are polished over time, therefore they are very slippery.
Definitely worth the visit. Don't forget marshmallows . Get there before sunset and then stay until dark so you can truly appreciate it. The walk is only 900 meters. Not wheelchair accessible.
It is wonderful place to visit, as it is very unique. You can see fire flames coming out from the mountain. We were visiting it at the end of October, when it is kot too hot. It is great to visit it in the evening, as it gets more mysterious. The entrance is 35 TLY .
Really great experience! Should be visit at night since is not as hot and the flames are more spectacular. We visited around 10PM, after the 40 mins climbing the stairs we reached the fires. Was somehow crowded. The place is open 24/7 now. Entrance fee was 9 Turkish liras per person.
The gas comes from under the ground. It is a unique experience. You walk on real roman ruins. Some even have text carvings. The bast time is when it is dark. 10 lira entrance fee.
Cool place to see and incredible 1km hike to reach the top (plus around 3km to get there from the town center)... There were too much tourists so we couldn't really enjoy the place... On the side note, the place would be much better if there are some lightning. The fire is best to see in the evening and it's not a problem to get to the top, but getting down the rocky hill with only the mobile torch can be really dangerous. Also more information about the old walls and fire itself would be really helpful.
