After lining a simple leather tote with these fabrics, she went on to create a capsule handbag collection that would soon become a hit among the streets of Istanbul and beyond. The Rez bag, with its easy form, ikat lining and sleek Hamsa embellishment rapidly became a popular and recognized style. The collection soon grew to include handbags that sport simple forms, while being adorned with beautiful Eastern design elements. Tiles, domes, palaces, rugs and jewelry from Morocco to Istanbul are constant sources of inspiration for the exotic world of Mehry Mu.
