View is spectacular. Keep right at the gate and follow the road until you can see the markings for the Lycian way. The first 2km are an easy walk after that the way gets more challenging, narrow and steeper. I would definitely recommend warring good shows. There are some nice spots on the way where you can rest and enjoy the view.

The official starting point for the Lycian Way is not Fethiye it many will start from here because of the passing through Kayakoy, which is famous for it’s Ghost Town village. The official start is Oludeniz, and about 30 minutes to one hour into the walk is where most people take the spectacular photos you see at sunset. I have done the whole Lycian Trail, and this portion, although not the easiest of starts, is certainly one of the nicer portions of the trail.
Amazing hike. We walked from Patara to Kalkan. It is a bit of a walk but definitely worth it. The first 3/4 has amazing views and a couple of beaches were you can swim! (Also one restaurant with good views about 10 Km from Patara). The last 1/4 after the aqueduct is bushy. Start early so that you get to Kalkan before the evening time and can expend some time swimming!
Nothing to see here as a stop. The trail itself I’m sure is nice but the starting point is not worth seeing for the sake of it.
Be careful, this is a great walking experience hundreds of miles long.Very easy to lose your direction and get completely lost even in a mile or so.The trail is a breathtaking experience, short or long distance. The hospitality of the local community along the way is typical Turkish, cannot be over stated, enjoy and do your research.
Rocky, slow going, but beautiful!
