Great place for kids and even adults to have fun and learn at the same time. When you are in Konya you should visit this place s it is a rare one in Turkey. One night in August, the center was organizing space watch event. There were three telescopes and we were able to see the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn. It was an amazing night. My kids had the chance to observe the planets and our moon. Thank you, Bilim Merkezi.

I went to the Science Center a few weeks ago and it was actually pretty nice. It is really big and the exhibitions show a lot of things. In each exhibition there are a lot of statues, screens where you can watch short films on the topic of the exhibition and games you can try out yourself. For example you can try to pump up a healthy and a sick lung in the \Our Body\ exhibition. The exhibitions are well put together and I really enjoyed them. However there a few downsides. A lot of stuff was broken. For example in the exhibitions on the upper level, there were often games where you had to rebuild stuff, but the pieces for building were gone. In another one the soap was empty (You could stand on a rack and pull on a string and would be enveloped in a soap bubble. If there was enough soap). On a \try to pull yourself up\ thing, the strings were tangled, stuck or broken. Moreover was a lot of stuff not cleaned properly. The screens had fingerprints and smears. In the optical illusions section the glass where you had to look through was dirty. Also keep in mind that the planetarium is not really a planetarium as you expect it. They show you a film about space and other stuff. But even though everything in the science center is translated into English, the film in the planetarium isn't. Last but not least, the entrance is pretty cool. There is a computer where you can draw on and it will project your drawing onto a wall. Pretty nice even though its a bit hard to draw on. Also the surroundings of the science center look nice! A lot of trees and bushes that are well taken care of. So even though this sounds a bit negative I still recommend going there. It is worth a visit. But take your time, because there is a lot to read through and try out.
