(“SPL”) was founded as a joint stock company subject to the provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code to operate in accordance with the assignment and authorization granted by the Capital Markets Board (the “Board”) pursuant to the Capital Markets Law and the relevant legislation, and it was registered and acquired legal personality on 16 June 2011. SPL is authorized by the Board to conduct licensing examinations in order to determine the professional competency, knowledge and skills of those employed in the capital market institutions and publicly-held corporations, provide license demonstrating their professional competencies with regard to relevant areas of specialization, keep the registry records of the license holders and organize training courses on licenses. The training activities carried out are License Renewal Trainings, Module (Examination Subject) Renewal Trainings, Professional Development Trainings, Real Estate Appraisers Professional Applied Training Programs and Electronic General Meeting System (“E-GEM”) Trainings. In addition to these activities, organizing conferences, seminars and other related events with the purpose of training the investors and the employees of the issuer companies and other sector institutions are also among the main roles of SPL.
