I have visited several times. One of them was on August 16, 1999 just the day of the great 7.4 Marmara earthquake and noticed that the depth of the lake has decreased to 50cm from 150 cm. As of today (July 14, 2020), I see, now, there is no any lake inside the cave, beneath the, as called, "Big Lake" plate.

Natural cave. Nice view. There is a cafe outside the cafe.
don't miss the place, if you traveling around.
An unpopular natural wonder. The first cave in Turkey that was opened to tourism. Huge satalactites, vast underground lakes and frigid breeze. We were really marveled at athe beauty of this place. Helmets are a must before you visit the cave. It goes for 13 kilometers deep in the ground but only 1.3 kilometre of it is open for visit. It would take around 45 minutes to cover the cave. Definetely stop by!
Natural structures was great, lighting is giving a nice atmosphere yet Id prefer more natural lightning. But, those speakers never ever stopping to tell us "Listen to the sound of silence" at last I was going to shout "Shut up and let us listen already!"
Sad that no archaeological research has nevet been conducted. The entrance should not have been coveted in stone and concrete. Terrible that it has been private leased while it should be a National Park, public property.
A natural beauty but unfortunately the water inside is almost dried up. It says there are 9 different lakes inside the cave but none of them is left.
Worth visiting.
