like
I love this place. Very beautiful, peaceful, nice. I would like to get membership and visit every day. I recommend this wonderful place.
Very peaceful place for you to visit
A nice place but don't expect much from the museum in it. It is quite small with just two rooms and a hall. The garden is quite nice with some animals in it.
Very sad that the government itself discriminates against foreign visitors. Foreign visitors now get charged twice as much as Turkish citizens. And free admission only for Turkish seniors. It's bad enough that in Istanbul the taxi drivers, restaurants, shops and just about all other business rip off foreign visitors, but now the government does as well! Not a great way for the government to encourage tourism!!!
Set in an oasis of lovely gardens, home to peacocks (even one albino), gingko trees and the lindens from which tis miniature marble palace takes its name, Ihlamur was Sultan Abdülmecid's favourite maison de plaisance and is the perfect Baroque hit for anyone daunted by the queues and bombast of Dolmabahçe. Both were built and embellished by the Balyan family between 1849 and 1855. Mirrored halls are richly decorated: lapis lazuli faux marble, dark blue stained glass and gildings give the interior a magical quality. (Cornucopia Mag. issue 60)
This was my first time visit, even though I passed by many times. I had great time, pavilion and its park are beautiful. I was able to see inside of the building too. It is a small building with 3 rooms inside.. I recommend to buy tickets accordingly. Park Pavilion tour costs 5TL. They don't accept muse card. I wish their cafe was not closed. Since I stopped by after the tour and taking photos. Even they were collecting bills, they did not let me have something to eat. Well, I went to Ciragan Palace and have early dinner over there.
Great for some relaxing time in the middle of the city
