Trust is everything in antiques. An handshake is as good as a contract. Well, not in the case of this shop. A deal was made on a vase which was to be my wife's Brithday present. We shook hands. Hikmet reneged on the deal, costing me money and a good deal of domestic upset. I had spent money to arrange safe shipping and re-arranged a work day to pick up the vase. It was the first time in 35 years of buying that a dealer has behaved in the way she did. Not an honourable way to behave at all. Much in the shop is repro, though not marked as such... impressive interior design pieces based upon the work of master Venetian artisans, but with no indication of what is repro and what isn't. I'd have a hard time trusting this dealer.
