My experience crossing from Turkey to Iran with Motorbike (motorcycle): Compared to the western Turkish borders, this border is not well organise, you need to leave your motorbike and go in the building to go through the passport exit control. Then then go back to your bike and go through the Turkish customs. On the Iranian side; Make sure the documentation is in order. Apart from the usual visa and bike documentation you also need Carnet de Passages en Douanes . When you have completed the exit procedure in the Turkish side, you enter the Iranian side through a large gate which is opened periodically. As soon as you step through the gate, one or two guys will come to you and ask you for your documentation and seem to pretend that they are border officers, they are not. They are local fixers who take you through the border and charge you at the end. Ignore them, you don't need them. Park your motobike, go in the building and go straight to the front of the visa queue (drivers are allowed to jump the queue). Once you have your visa, you go trough to the customs and go through the formality of taking your bike through, you will see other drivers with their Carnet walking the same path. The whole process should take less than 2 hrs. You need to buy insurance too. If you are travelling on Iranian passport, you are unlikely to get through (even with a Carnet) unless your motorbike is deemed as legal to ride in Iran (high CC engines are forbidden in Iran).

It was good to be here. It's so nice place. I think, I heard some AK-47 Noice, Maybe it was from Partiya Karkerên Kurdistanê. I hope, I will get safe.
