This is one of the busiest metro hub stations in Istanbul that includes sn intersections of the Green metro line (M2), Red line (M1) and the Marmarray Line which extends under the phosphorus sea. If you are new to this station you might get confused where to go for your metro line, a good hint here is simply to read signs which are aplenty and most of them written in English or you can simply ask metro station security to guide you...take it easy on them while speak in English) Important!!! If you are coming from Uskudar to this station via Marmaray line, make sure you get the 50% cash back refund of your ticket! This is simply done by touchimg the refund machines located after the exit rail (you have to look for them!) To refund 2.6 Turkish liras off the 5.2 liras paid by the Istanbul card.

This is probably one of the busiest metro hub stations in Istanbul. You can pretty much reach anywhere from this station and it is well-designed, clean, organized and safe. The station has underground connections to the M1 and M2 lines as well as a path to the ferry. Make sure to use the refund machines at the end of your trip near the exit. You're very likely to get a refund if you took a short trip and even if it was a long trip the refunds are still available, so why not, right?

Good etro service. However,. I came across very rude metro staff when I asked for help how to buy ticket to osmanbey station. My first time in Istanbul. My advise is never expect any help from metro staff/ security but fellow passengers. Never seen such rudeness. They actually left me there with bars closed because I took longer to enter after touching my card. I had big bag with me did not realise they was a bigger gate for buggies and bags.
