Sabri and Mr. DeFehmi really showed me hospitality. They have the most awesome rugs and hotel properties near the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey

Was staying in Istanbul and we were lost looking for the Basilica Cistern. Salesman helped lead us there and led us to the store afterwards. We were presented with beautiful carpets and offered several cups of tea while being assured that, even though we were being show these carpets, we were under no obligation to buy any. Ended up leaving the store with 2 amazing new carpets. Ate lunch and eventually we were greeted again by one of their salesmen who led us to another room just for tea and to casually converse. Very friendly workers who are extremely personable and helpful. Definitely would recommend our “second home in Istanbul” as one of the salesmen called it.

Beautiful carpets and an incredibly kind staff. The salesman Onur, was incredibly patient with me as we looked through different rugs and bedding. All the pieces were beautiful.

One of the rudest persons I have met. After telling him I won’t buy any of his expensive rugs, he yelled at me to get out of his shop. Nothing but a shady character who will lure you into his shop. Please don’t fall for it.

I visited the shop after my friend and I finished our tour of the Cistern (also well worth a visit) and a very charming young man lured us there with promises of tea and air conditioning. We were immediately presented with a seemingly endless stream of gorgeous Turkish carpets. The salesman, Sahin, was so helpful and explained the meaning of the various designs to us. After choosing a carpet and bargaining the price down a bit I still wasn’t sure because it was the first shop we visited. Sahin was very gracious but challenged us to find a better price. Two days later I went back and bought the carpet. The shop arranged for shipping to be held off until after I returned home from vacation. I absolutely love this carpet and it is my new favorite piece of furniture. I highly recommend the shop.

Nice but expensive rugs ruined mostly by the pushy sales tactics. The charming sales man will coerce you into coming in as you walk past their shop then show you lots of rugs while making it very difficult to leave politely. Left the shop feeling frustrated and having wasted time.
