Beautiful example of a Ottoman style caravanserai (fortefied Inn for caravans) with a castle and Fort next to it. The castle was originally established by templar Knights, and in the 1500's when the region came under Ottoman control the whole complex was rebuilt from the foundations up. The complex was built near the junction where roads from Constantinople divided to continue to Iraq or south to Israel, Egypt, and to Arabia. Today the caravanserai is used as a government office and is surprisingly lively for such a historical place. The castle, unfortunately, is closed though the nearby fortress (şeytan kalesi) is open as a small cafe. The mosque, which was visited by renowned traveller Evliya Çelebi, is open.

Impressive caravansary, with a mosque, a garden and even a bazaar inside. Free entrance. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice renovated complex. Castle not finished yet. 700 year old olive tree. Pleasant stop.
