After accomplishing its initial design and production activities in 1969 within the Boru A.Ş. Company, Borusan Engineering became a separate autonomous organization within Borusan Holding in 1978. Borusan Engineering manufactures machinery and equipment for manufacturing companies in various sectors Borusan Engineering has been working in partnership with world-class technology suppliers and manufactures for projects of technology supplier companies in different countries. Today, Borusan Engineering is operating in Gemlik / Bursa, on 10 630 m² closed, 10 370 m² open and a total of 2100 m² area. Borusan Engineering mainly provides periodic and planned maintenance services for several industrial facilities in the vicinity of Bursa, particularly Borçelik and Kerim Çelik. Borusan Engineering performs R&D and engineering activities, in order to increase the efficiency of companies it serves. As of 2012, a total of 110 employees are working in Borusan Engineering, 73 being blue-collar, and 37 being white-collar, including 14 engineers. In the second quarter of 2012, with the goal of being one of the leading organizations in the marine sector, Borusan Engineering started a yacht manufacturing facility in coordination with the French firm Rhea Marine in Gebze Güzeller Organized Industrial Zone with 14 employees, of which 3 are white collars.
