On holiday in Istanbul last August , stumbled across this wonderful little shop in the side streets of Beyoglu - it's a women's co-operative knitting the most charmingly beautiful infant and child wear from organic locally sourced wools from around Turkey. The photo attached shows Bibi, my 3rd granddaughter, newly born and asleep on one of their cloud-like blankets. The owner (Mukadder) had this specially knitted and sent to our home in Kuwait - it arrived on the day she was born! Highly recommended, honest and reliable.

Cutest little knitting store in Galata! They have beautiful hand knitted children's garments, a few socks and mittens, and some yarn and needles for sale. Everything is natural fibers. And they host knitting groups. The owner was really sweet and welcoming. Can't wait to return to choose my next knitting project!
