The only active Ashkenazi Synagogue left in Istanbul. The nearby Schneider Tempel was also an Ashkenazi Synagogue, but now functions as an art gallery. It is possible to visit if you make an appointment with the Chief Rabbinate of Turkey beforehand. Note that you must have ID with you when entering. Occasionally concerts and musical recitals are also held at this Synagogue which has great acoustics!
