Magnificent place, every stone has some story to tell. There are many stairs to walk theater around, great views to ancient city, sea from the top. Great job was done to preserve this place in such a good state. If possible, go there after 5 p.m or in the morning.

First time I am visit Antalya and wow so many beautiful place especially Side. One of my favorite place is Amphitheater.
An impression that life in that period consisted from coliseums and baths. Spectacular view and feelings to see in crowds at that time enjoying fights and other performances.
Absolutely stunning. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful historical setting. Can walk round and get up close. Very cheap entry to go inside the theatre for a better view. Information all around so you can really imagine what was there in its prime. Plus shops and bars on the doorstep so makes for a great day out.
So cool! I spent only about an hour there, mostly because my friend and I were taking a lot of pictures. But still, it is a must-see If you find yourself in Side.
The Roman theater in Side Located in Side a city on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Side was founded by Greek settlers in western Anatolia , this most likely occurred in the 7th century BC , Its main deity was Athena. The theater is the greatest preserved historical building in the city. It was built in the middle of the 2nd century AD, on the site of an earlier Hellenistic theater. It has a seating capability of 15,000–20,000 people. The outer façade of the theater was once two-storied, but only its lower part is still intact. The skene building (a structure at the back of a stage), was 63 meters (206 feet) long, had 3 stories that formed an ornamental façade, decorated with columns, niches, statues and reliefs. There were nine interconnected rooms on the lowest level of skene. In the late Roman Empire times, gladiatorial combats and shows with wild animals became more popular, so the theater was modified a thick wall separating the audience from the orchestra, was added.
Take a step back in History and love what you see. Great job to Side for preserving this amazing piece of the past.
