I wanted to undergo LASIK surgery, and this facility was recommended to me by a family friend after successful cataract surgery there. I have to admit that their call centers services are good, offered in various languages with near-instant answer/reply time. I had called for an appointment—and an appointment with the doctor along with a translator was organized to 2 days after I reached out to them. I get constant updates from their call center regarding information about the procedure, price, and services. Unfortunately, the good side of things ends there. Things turned sour as I headed to the hospital. Half an hour before the appointment, I received a call from their call center asking where I am, then as I arrived at their doorstep on time they call me once again informing me that \the doctor will leave if the patient does not come in after 4 minutes\. Later, as I met the doctor who I will not name, he greeted us in a very rushed manner, talking and informing us in a very sinister and pessimistic tone, connoting that if the surgery was not 'successful' it is not his responsibility and that there is a relatively high chance of failure, even at a staggering cost just for the analysis for checking surgery eligibility. I have to add to the issue of cost. There is a high margin of the price difference between foreigners and locals. I do understand that to an extent, but we are foreigners who have 'Kimlik' and Turkish Work Permits there along with SGK and other insurance. We were treated like medical tourists and in some ways—not taken seriously and seemed like they had placed money in vain into a trade rather than health as if we were money generators instead of patients. The doctor may know a lot about what he is doing, but his delivery in professionalism is very lacking. Overall, I do not recommend this center to undergo your LASIK or other laser eye surgeries.
