I loved this restaurant. Food is amazing. The service is on a high-level! There's a nice and chilled atmosphere in the restaurant with a pleasant music. I could stay there for hours after a hot and intense day. Beef in a pot exceeded all my expectations. Together with a local red wine it was a great set.

The good: a cool cave restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Its large size makes it good for both small and large groups. Pottery kebab is their specialty. Meat or veggies are cooked in spices in a pottery jar, which a server will crack open for you. It was delivered to us on fire, making for an excellent presentation! The bad: unfortunately, the flavor of the pottery kebab was lacking. Taste-wise, this was the most mediocre meal of our stay. Adding chili and pepper helped, but it was a bit of a disappointment. The ugly: we ordered an appetizer of mushrooms cooked with garlic and melted cheese. Sounds delicious, right? Except it came out 80% frozen under the layer of melted cheese. I spat out an icy mushroom. Apparently they didn't cook it in the oven long enough. They brought us another fully cooked one, and I could tell the cheese was fully melted and broiled. That properly cooked dish was tasty, but the experience overall wasn't great. To their credit, they fixed the egregious mistake and gave us free tea afterward, but there are so many restaurants in the area, you might want to explore your options.

The beef sac tava and lamb testi at old Cappadocia were the best we had in Göreme. 4 stars only because we waited more than 75mins for mains after having our starters. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re not in a rush

Nice and cozy place with a small outdoor seating. The staff was very attentive, the prices are standard for Görome and Turkey in general. The food was OK. Ordered hummus, and pottery chicken.

Unfortunately due to COVID, we were not able to dine inside restaurant. So we ordered to go for take out. The pottery kebab came in pottery even though many other neighbor restaurants give no pottery. So even after we back to hotel, it still kept nice and warm. Lamb chop was very tender and nice. Old cappadocia special was nice as well. While you wait outside, you can warm up with bon fire and can enjoy hot wine around.

Beside the greatness of the beautiful Cappadocia, the food enjoied at Old Cappadocia completed our wonderful trip in Turkey. They have good service and great food. You should definetly add it on your lunch/dinner stops.

very nice restaurant! It is a relaxing place for good dinner at fair prices. I had the grilled vegetable plate and enjoyed it. The ice cream served seems like it was artificial store bought, so the dessert was a bit underwhelming, but the hospitality made up for that and the restaurant was an overall good experience. The bread is free, hot, and delicious!

Good food, unfortunately can't dine in can only take out due to Covid restrictions but they do have it where you can warm up under the fire outside to stay warm and drink warm red wine.
